gti are great all around: gas, power, versatile, loads, look, image
Maybe 311 crank hp but I still smell a little fish in the air.
But we can all agree that the MkV is the bomb
BS…….you dont have 311 HP MKV with the mods you listed. Even a k04 full bolt on wont hit that much horsepower. So unless you went with a big turbo kit, I call BS. I drive a chipped MkV GTI, and i love it to death, but no way are u getting 311 horsepower with those mods.

The old ones might have sucked but I have the new 2009 model and Its awesome. Just installed a new chip, inter cooler, air intake, exhaust , and blow-off valve and dyno at 311HP

to illesmrd…just for u to know the VW plant in mexico is one of the best in the world…they even send cars to europe…brazilian cars are the shitty ones.
the new GTI’s are made right out of Germany, so u know u have presion timing and the highest in performance. get the GTI you won’t regret it.

I think the comparison with the SI is just stupid. When I was looking for my car, the Civic was never on my list. The SI and the MKV are in two different categories in my opinion.
The MKV is worth the premium I paid for it.
